Of course, treason is worthy of all condemnation. However, this is not always a conscious choice of a vicious or corrupt person. Betrayal may be the result of life disasters that are not influenced by. Let us consider such examples to make sure that treason can be justified by exceptional circumstances that leave no other way.
In the course of the discussion, A. Ostrovsky’s play The Storm is immediately recalled. Katerina is cheating on her husband, but why is she doing this? A devout Christian goes against God's covenants because circumstances left her no other choice. Kalinov’s everyday life and customs are alien to her, she doesn’t love her husband, she was married out against her will. What is she left to do? Eke out a miserable existence, despising oneself and life around? She is a healthy young woman, she wants to love and be loved, but in the family she meets only hatred and anger. Unfortunately, even a loving husband Tikhon does not intercede for his spouse, but goes to a tavern. He runs away from problems without helping his wife solve them. The heroine was left alone with confusion in her soul, and therefore she can not be judged strictly for the fact that she found support. In addition, the woman confessed everything to her husband and would gladly have lived an honest life with Boris if everything had turned out differently.
Another example was described by M. Sholokhov in the epic novel "Quiet Don". Aksinya is cheating on her husband with Gregory, but is her act so criminal? The unhappy woman has seen much grief in her lifetime. She was raped by her own father, mother and brother killed him before her eyes. After this incident, it was not easy to marry her, but then Stepan turned up with an offer, and the family ordered Aksinya. She never loved her husband; he drank and was rude to her. And so she met Gregory, and her soul finally found joy in mutual feeling. The heroine can hardly be condemned for the only desperate attempt to find happiness.
Thus, one cannot judge a person for betrayal without first understanding all the circumstances of his case. Perhaps he is not the culprit, but a victim of fate, which, with a powerful blow from the elements, brought him on the wrong path.
